Terms of Service

Japnify operates websites and forms for operational workflow inquiries, Japnify ScanOps document workflow research, pilot discussions, private previews and Japnify Studio services. Japnify ScanOps is currently presented as research and pilot development around recurring document-heavy workflows, not as a generally available self-service product.

Japnify Studio provides short-form video editing and content repurposing services through direct studio communication and agreed project scopes. Upon receiving source material and any required payment, we produce deliverables based on the agreed scope.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit inquiries or engage our services. By submitting information, documents, links, media or sample materials, you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have authority to provide it.

By submitting documents, reports, files, links, media or other materials, you confirm that:

• You own or have all necessary rights to the content submitted.
• The content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right.
• The content is not illegal, defamatory, obscene, harmful or in violation of any applicable law.
• You have removed or avoided sensitive information where it is not needed for the relevant inquiry, research or service.

You retain ownership of your original submitted materials. You grant Japnify a limited right to use those materials as needed to review your inquiry, conduct research you choose to participate in, evaluate a pilot workflow, provide a private preview or deliver an agreed service.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an inquiry, research participation request, pilot discussion or service if submitted materials violate these Terms or create an unsupported risk.

You may not submit content that:

• Is owned by a third party without appropriate authorization
• Contains illegal material including but not limited to child exploitation material, incitement to violence or fraud
• Depicts or promotes hate speech, harassment or discrimination
• Violates any applicable federal, state or local law
• Contains regulated, confidential or sensitive information that is not necessary for the requested purpose

Japnify ScanOps pages, workflow examples and surveys describe research, product concepts and pilot-development areas. They do not guarantee that any specific workflow, feature, integration, export, filing, posting, approval, payment or automated downstream action is currently available.

ScanOps content is intended to evaluate document-to-workflow handoffs, evidence retention, validation needs and human review points. It is not legal, tax, accounting, compliance, engineering, construction, safety or professional advice. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs, validating records and making business decisions.

Any prototype, pilot or research output may be incomplete, may require human review and should not be relied on as a final system of record unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

All prices are in USD unless otherwise agreed. Payment terms for paid Japnify Studio services or any separately agreed pilot or service engagement are confirmed directly before work begins. Processing starts only after any required payment confirmation or written agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, paid service scopes are handled as one-time project scopes. Refunds are not issued once production has commenced unless there is a material failure to deliver the agreed-upon output. Revisions, where included, are the primary remedy for dissatisfaction.

Delivery times, pilot timelines and research follow-up timing are estimates unless separately agreed in writing. Timing may vary based on submitted materials, workflow complexity, review requirements, order volume or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Each paid service scope may include a defined number of revision rounds. Revision requests must be submitted by email or direct communication within the timeframe agreed for that scope. Revisions are limited to adjustments of the agreed deliverable and do not create a right to unrelated new work or a different project scope.

We do not guarantee any specific operational outcome, business result, cost savings, processing time reduction, compliance result, tax result, accounting result, integration availability, model accuracy, system performance, views, follower growth, virality or other measurable result. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Japnify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the websites, research participation, pilot discussions, services, private previews or delivered content. Our total liability for any claim arising from a paid service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order or engagement giving rise to the claim.

The websites, research materials, workflow examples, surveys, private previews, prototypes, pilots and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the websites, research pages or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
